SAMSUNG RESEARCH
At Samsung Research America I was a UX Design Intern at the Think Tank Team (TTT) and NEON (STAR Labs).
Overview
😎 What was my role?
During my internship at TTT, I was involved in numerous ideation sessions for multiple projects with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and designers. The projects ranged from simple home products to larger commercial products.

At NEON, I participated in the design meetings where we discussed the different projects that were in progress. My main project at NEON was designing the NEON website.
🏆 My Achievements!
Lead Designer 🏃‍♀️:
I was recognized for designing a website by the entire team that created a more intuitive experience while also enhancing its visuals

At NEON, I have the opportunity of spearheading design meetings for the redesign of the NEON Website. As the main designer for this project, I had the opportunity to create a creative vision for the website present these ideas and prototypes to the team.
Outcome
🤔 What were my obstacles?
Balance User needs ✔️:
Throughout these projects, I realized how important it was to voice and prioritize what the user needs are to other team members to create a user-centered product.

Being Proactive 🏃‍♀️:
There was some uncertainty in the projects, however, I was able to combat this by proactively researching topics to grasp a deeper understanding and asking key questions to my managers, and peers. This was a new space for me, but being diligent and curious has led to creating projects that I am proud of and are thoughtful of the user.
Discovery
🤩 What did I learn?
Communication 🗣:
I learned how important communication is, especially in a fast-paced environment like Samsung Research America. Being able to ask clarifying questions and effectively communicate with colleagues, my managers, PM, and engineers allowed the design process to excel in a more comfortable environment.
THANK YOU!
